About Inverter damping resistor
A braking resistor is necessary when the motor is stopped in a short time, as with a mechanical brake, or the load-side machine rotates the motor (regenerative operation).
Features
Rapid braking (short-time deceleration)
Use this resistor if the motor needs to decelerate rapidly or if an overvoltage “OP” trip occurs when the motor decelerates to stop.
Regenerative operation
・Use this resistor when the motor is in a regenerative state continuously in such a case as lowering a lifting machine or winding out for tension control.
・Use this resistor when the load fluctuates even during constant-speed operation, placing the motor in a regenerative state, as with a press machine.
Inverter damping resistor Spec
When selecting the damping resistor, see the catalogs of the individual inverter models.
